Award for the LMUchemlab school laboratory

The LMUchemlab school laboratory of the Department of Chemistry under direction of Prof. Stefan Schwarzer, Department of Chemistry, Didactics, was awarded the LeLa Prize 2020 by the Federal Association of School Labs. The prize is donated by the BMBF.

This year's LeLa Prize will be presented on March 9, 2020 at the 15th LeLa Annual Meeting in Dresden in the celebratory setting. It is awarded for the experimental station "On the trail of the lotus effect", which is offered in the LMUchemlab for the secondary level II in the category "Experiment of the Year". The award is "an innovative, successfully tested and transferable experiment" for the school laboratory as a learning location. The prize money is up to € 5000.
